Pirate101 Test Realm Status: ONLINE

Ahoy there!

The Pirate101 Test Realm be online right now!

 This time, Pirate101's Test Realm's main update is that they're bringing PvP!  Unfortunately for some, Ship-to-Ship combat has not been added, but I'm sure they'll add it soon! But PvP is not all that's on the Pirate101 Test Realm, more updates include:

• Over 1,500 Bug Fixes
• Several Performance Improvements
• Many Minor Art Fixes
• Music Added to Several Zones
• NPC's Now Have Audi Accompanying Quest Text
• Lots of Minor Quest Text Issues Fixes
• Both a Ship Vendor and a Parts Vendor Have Been Added to St. Bonobos Abbey, Monsquista
• Rubber Duck Symbol Representing an Unsinkable Ship
• 200 Housing Items Can Now be Placed 
• Change of Background in Some Talent Cards
• More Wisps in Zones That Were Lacking Them
• Several Fixes to the Chat System
• Keyboard Shortcuts
• Some Shrunken Companions Were Made Bigger
• And much more!

Interview with Johnny from Pirates of the Spiral

Ahoy there mateys!

This week, I've had the honor of interviewing Johnny, the owner of Pirates of the Spiral, and better known as a moderator on Wizard101 Central, and from his community Twitter profile.

Here it goes,hope you all enjoy!
My questions are in PEACH, and Johnny's responses are in WHITE, right below the questions.

-Hey Johnny! Let's get to know you a bit first. How did you first hear about Wizard101, and what inspired ou to join the community?

A little after the beta ended, I was home one night watching tv not aware of the game called Wizard101 until the first commercial aired which I happen to see! My first thought was wow it reminds me alot of Harry Potter! The whole ravenwood school and learning magic reminded me alot of hogwarts and I went to the computer and started downloading right away! I fell in love with the game and I'm still playing 5+ years later! A little after I signed up for the game, I began searching for guides and tips and found the site Wizard101central.com ! The site became very helfpul since I was a beginner and a lot of people their were in the beta. It was a great experience to be apart of a forum where everyone loved Wizard101. Along the years, Ive been sharing my knowledge and help and became a moderator for the site. It was an honor to be asked. The Wizard101 community is like no other at all! Its one of the best fan communitys I have been apart of! We are like a big family.

Lest We Forget- Veteran's Day 2012

Happy Veteran's Day 2012

Today we remember those who fought, served, those who died for their country.

We look back in history, and remember the veterans whose selfless sacrifice set the path for our complete freedom.

No one is better than a patriot, and no sacrifice is too small for recognition.

New Guides Tab!

Ahoy there!

That Swashbuckler has added a "Guides" tab t' help you with your adventure in Pirate101! Our first guides will be on Zeke Quests. So far the Skull Island Funky Bunch has been posted and you can check it out now! 

Let's get to know Zeke a little better.

Well first of all, what do ye know?!? Prospector Zeke has traveled to Pirate101! Prospector Zeke is an explorer who travels to all worlds in both Wizard101, and Pirate101. Every time you meet him in a new world, he has a quest for you! All his quests require you to find a specific thing throughout that world you're in. He usually has 10 things for you to find, all the same thing, except in different areas of that world. For example, if I find a banana pile in Blood Shoals, I would have to find that same banana pile, except in Puerto Mico, or any other area in Skull Island. However not ALL areas have banana piles. You can check which area has bananas or not by looking in your book. For finishing his quest you receive 1 practice point. In case you didn't know what a practice point is, I'll tell you a little more about it. A practice point is used to gain new attacks from other teachers in Avery's Court, not just your main teacher.

ANOTHER Contest!

We've been feeling very "contest-ty" this month! We be having ANOTHER contest this month! And it's also for 5,000 crowns! For this contest, if  That Swashbuckler reaches 100 Mateys by the end of the month, one lucky member from our crew will win 5,000 crowns! You can join our crew by clicking "Join this Site" at the right side of our website. This contest will end on December 1st at midnight, if we don get them hundred mateys, the 5,000 crowns will have to go! Long wait, eh? Well if we get 100 mateys earlier than the deadline, we'll give away the 5,000 crowns away that same day!
